An Action-packed Weekend

We began our weekend w/ tailgating & watching the Illini football game on Saturday. The marching band was the main attraction for Claire (those drums especially), and she pointed in amazement the entire time "The Chief" did his Illini ritual dance. I think she, too, is against all this cr*p about getting rid of him due to prejudice! She was a trooper, though, and we made it through the entire game, then snuggled w/ Dad on the walk to the car.

Then, on Sunday, we drove down to St. Louis and caught a Cardinals game. Sorry, Mom & Dad B, we had to root against Pittsburgh....

Some friends of ours from England just moved to St. Louis, so they had us over for a nice visit & dinner. Claire had a blast playing with Maddie & Caden, & we enjoyed catching up w/ Derek & Dana (due w/ #3 next month). We're excited that we live somewhat close again!

On Monday, we hit the St. Louis zoo w/ Derek & the kids....it was great. I think Claire's favorites were the fish swimming w/ the rhinos (didn't care too much about being yards away from the rhinos, but squeeled "Shishees!!" at the top of her lungs over and over!) We also saw a 1-mos old elephant and tons of other animals. It was truly an amazing experience seeing it all through a toddler's eyes....
