We set off on another family camping adventure this past weekend...to Van Buren State Park, near South Haven, MI. There were 29 of us, including 12 kids, so it was quite fun! The weather was gorgeous during the day...a little chilly at night, but nothing a little bundling and snuggling couldn't fix. I have never seen such a dirty Claire, but she loved it. And it was neat to introduce Liam to some great-aunts and uncles and lots of 2nd cousins! The kids buried each other in sand along Lake Michigan (a few crazy ones swam), played Mexican bingo, knocked down a pinata, made s'mores, & enjoyed all the other good-old camping activites.Here's a photo of our little thumb-suckers and one of "little miss pig-pen"
We headed up to Manistee for an extra day-----where we got to introduce Liam to his great-grandma & great-grandpa. We also got to play a bit of golf, ride around the course w/ Claire (where I showed her the best places to find frogs, roll down hills, & climb trees). It sure brought back a lot of memories viewing Fox Hills through a child's eye once again...
