Our Big Boy

Well, we've had a hard time admitting it, but our little guy is almost 3 and turning into a big boy. Time to attempt getting rid of his diapers and crib! Easier said than done, but we're working on it.

He was very excited to pick out his "Lightening McQueen" undies, and even loved wearing them and sitting on the potty for the first day or so. And that was it. They are now sitting in his drawer waiting for the day he is ready!

As for the crib, we have the side down and he can climb in and out (while we figure out what kind of big boy bed to get him). Let's just say his sleeping habits have deteriorated slightly!

Here are few recent Liam-isms:

While playing with his cars the other morning, I overheard him singing this song on repeat, "We will, we will rock it!"

Favorite cereal? "Yucky charms." And he also talks about "Yucky cheeses" although he's never been.

While patiently waiting while I tried on a shirt in a local store, he said, "Spin, Mommy!" After my spin, he told me, "Mommy is a princess!" I kinda like this kid!

Still calls himself "Miam" and asks, "Is this mine's?"

I wonder why this kid knows every character from the movie Cars, Bob the Builder, and Thomas the Tank engine, plus the name of every piece of construction equipment and model of car on the road, yet he can't recognize a single color. Hmm.

Bedtime routine consists of hug, kiss, nuckles, repeated until he is satisfied.

After he was done eating dinner one night, he asked, "My escused? Watch American Idol?" In the car, he asks, "Ipod in car, Mommy?" and "Radio Disney pweeeeeze?" He definitely has an older sister.

He's currently taking swimming lessons. The kid must go underwater (by his own choice) about a hundred times per lesson. He's a maniac. I'll have to get some video of this~
