Greg had a triathlon 2 hours away on Sat morning. Since he was leaving at 4:30am, the kids and I sadly opted out of cheering him on (in person anyway). He did bring home a trophy (5th place in his division), and was quite happy w/ his performance. Meanwhile, the kids and I worked on unpacking the basement (i.e. I unpacked a box, they played with the contents and the empty boxes). It is actually quite exciting to find things we've been looking for for the past few months, and those long-lost toys???? Like Christmas morning.

They also played in the sandbox that Greg and his bro Charles constructed. Still no cover, though (but no nagging here of course)!

Sat night took us to a local baseball game outing w/ Greg's work. It was fun to meet some of his co-workers, and the kids had an absolute blast! Greg caught a game ball for Liam, and we stayed out til 10pm. Unfortunately, Claire was then up at 5am with a 102 fever.

Greg bought Cardinals/Twins tickets for Sunday's game in St Louis. Claire seemed to be doing better, so we took a chance and drove the 1.5 hours to get to the game. We took the metro in, which was probably the most fun part for the kids (choo-choo!).
...and came across the Arch. This photo looks like a poor photoshop jobby, but it's the real thing, baby.
Claire wouldn't let me take her photo w/ the Arch... she was feverish again and crying for the train, poor baby. Her daddy got her there w/ a lot of coaxing...
What a fun day trip! We'll definitely be doing that again...
